Got my Z in August. I have put about 1500 miles on it. I try to drive my Dakota to work 3 days a week and the Z the other 2 days, depending on the weather (sometimes I cheat). I'll admit, It's damn hard not to drive it every day (I love this car!) but I think it is good discipline. And then of course I drive the hell out of it on the weekend. I'm not saving my car for anything and I don't think I'll ever sell it. I just want to savor the 'newness' for as long a possible. I do, however, plan to keep her out of the rain if at all possible. If there is any hint of rain, she stays in the garage.

 

My dad's 98 TA has over 167,000 miles on it and has had ZERO problems with his. And he drives it like a 16 year old who stole it, I wish my LT1 would hold up as well as his LS1 has, those engines are indestructable!! Oh yeah, his is an A4, mostly stock(free mods, lid, cat back).
