How much power am I making?

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum and have not brought my car to the dyno yet but was wondering how much HP I have. I wanted to see if anyone here had a good idea of what that number will be when I do get the car on the dyno on August 2nd.

Just a few bolt-ons but I'd appreciate educated guesses.
2000 Camaro SS
SLP lid
K and N filter
85mm MAF
Smooth bellows
SSRA (Super Sucker Ram Air)
3" Cut-Out (after catalytic converter)
3.73 Gear
SFC
STB

Thanks,
C.

Ill agree with Al and say 315/M6 and 305/A4. You really dont have any real HP mods yet. Throw on some LT headers and a cam and those numbers will start to climb!

2000 Camaro SS - hmm thats good for about 295 to start
SLP lid - add 8 - 303
K and N filter - minus 3 - 300
85mm MAF -add 5 if it works and subtract 5 if it doesnt- no change..
Smooth bellows - add 2 - 302
SSRA (Super Sucker Ram Air) - should not show on dyno - 302
3" Cut-Out (after catalytic converter) - add 7 open - 309
3.73 Gear - hmm cant remember if that affects any power.. think it does affect torque..
SFC - no power added -
STB - no power added -

My guess 309. Please post on August 2 to show us who was closest..
My guess on your torque will be 323, I think your cut out will drop your torque.

Thanks,
C.

In a 3 run dyno, I plan to do 2 open cutout and 1 closed (I have a qtp electric plate). I'll post as soon as I get the read out. It's pretty fun to see the guesses so far. We'll see who is closest on August 2nd.

Dyno numbers!

So the dyno shop gave me 4 runs...nice guys. 2 runs cut outs closed and 2 runs cut out open.

Closed:305 rwhp
Cut Out Open:314 rwhp

I left my dynosheet in the car but I showed it to my club gys and there were surprised because my torque had gone up with the cut out open.

SSRA as you might have guessed did not add anything since air is not moving fast enough to make a difference...they could'nt knock the fan up to 60mph LOL.

Alot of people think that cutout's make you lose torque. The same way with Longtubes. They dont. The torque just doesnt get started as quick as it did with all that backpressure. Its still there though.

How can you ever gain HP without gaining torque? Horsepower is a function of torque. My guess is that there has to be a torque gain at the RPM that HP peaks at.

HP@RPM= (torque*RPM)/5252
