How much is a new clutch going to set me back?

I dont know what clutch to get yet. I dont know if I should go to the dealer for a clutch for Camaro, to get one from a Z06, or just an aftermarket one. I probably dont want to spend much over 300 or so. I dont know if i trust the dealer anyway. I race from time to time, so that should be a factor. I want a kind of stock feeling friction point, but one that can handle a little abuse.
Thanks.

This might help, some parts and approximate prices:

12565145 - '01 -'02 Fbody Slave Cylinder -74.80
12570277 - '01 -'02 Fbody Master Cylinder - 105.97

12570806 - 2002 Z06 (LS6) Clutch kit with Pressure Plate, Disc & Flywheel - $304.95

I don't think you'll find anything else for $300. I would seriously consider upgrading your hydraulics, possibly with an adjustable Master Cylinder (approx. $150). Can anyone think of a better option?

If you plan on just being a simple bolt-on car(exhaust, intake) then just get a Z06 clutch with the new upgraded slave cylinder.

Just exactly what is the advantage of the Z06 clutch to the stock LS1 clutch?

The Z06 clutch has a better friction disk....clutch won't slip and will last longer.
