How much Hp will this make and how much does it cost?
How much Hp will this make and how much does it cost?
I currently have a 02 mustang Gt, but im selling it and getting a camaro z28. I want to know how much power you can get for about $2000. Heads cams and longtubes seem to make a lot of power. What about a supercharger.
Re: How much Hp will this make and how much does it cost?
you'll need the supporting mods prior to doing the H/C
lid, headers, exhaust are the main ones. that should run you about $1000 give or take
you can get a new cam and valve springs and an install kit with the other $1000.
you'll need a tune after the cam, but depending on the size of the cam you could make anywhere from 350-400hp at the wheels and still be very streetable. heads would put you way out of budget though, but the LS1 heads flow well enough to handle most cams and still produce good numbers.
check out the mods on my car...pushing nearly 400 to the ground on stock heads

Ditto on teke's reply.

Re: How much Hp will this make and how much does it cost?
agreed...but if you read it...
it was on a slipping clutch.
since then i've put in a SPEC 4 clutch with an aluminum flywheel. the flywheel weighs just under 13lbs...over 1/2 that of the stock unit. that easily frees up about 10hp to the wheels.
that puts me well into the mid 390s for hp.
and the tune isn't very good, i think i would pick up 10hp more with more tuning.
so my statement of "nearly 400" is actually fairly accurate.
