how much hp can the t-56 take???
how much horsepower can the stock t-56 take????
I just want to make sure that i rebuild it before i break it. I dont want to be haulin *** somewhere and then all of a sudden i slam it and i blow the tranny. So if i could get a guess to how much hp it can take, so i know when to rebuild it. thanks guys.

first off, you can't rebuild it- there are no aftermarket parts. There's a guy in the advanced forum that was making upgraded input/output shafts, but were very pricey.
Also, it's really not the hp/tq you're making as much as the amount of traction. George Baxter ran 1000hp through his (9 flat @150), with a conservative launch.

Hmm m... I've never done a parts swap, nor do I personally know someone who has done it, but I was pretty sure that most of the parts could come over.

a stock T56 is pretty reliable until around 500rwhp and or sticky tires.
I can fully rebuild T56s with parts that are even better than some of D&Ds stuff. Most of the big name shops give up on syncro transmission with big power, I came up with ways to make it stay together!!! email me
