7k engine running great so far. Transmission been nothing but trouble. Saving for the richmond 6 speed to replace it and hopefully be done with the problems.

9,000 miles on my daily-driver 2001 Z28 (all stock except for a K&N filter).
My experiences have been a mixed bag so far. It ran like a dream for the first 5,000 miles, but ever since it's been giving me nothing but problems, the "service engine" light comes on on a weekly basis anymore. I've got it back in the shop now. All the fixes have been under warranty and haven't cost me a dime, but having my car in the dealers shop every other week is starting to get very old, very fast. Hopefully they can figure out whats wrong with it this time.

Mods? I think it would be easyer for me just to list the things that aren't changed in the car.

What do you do after you have fulfilled a dream? Open your eyes and take a pee...close your eyes and chase another one.

38 K on the SS - bought July '01 w/ 24K , but a few road trips later ...

Other than what I think is "low" idle oil pressure hot (22- 25 psi w/ 5W30 Mobil 1 )which may all be in the gauge as it did not run that low before they fixed the trip meter reset problem no engine problems to report !!

Minor glitches such as a clunk somewhere in the driveline, and only sometimes - the dealer never found it - and the usual squeaks, rattles, & rolls.

Hell, it seems to be a better car now than it was when newer !!

Hey DJ, I haven't had a chance to hear them yet in my car (still waiting on my orions), but i did hear them in an accord and I loved them. Tweeters are a little harsh but if properly installed and set on the crossover they sound awsome. I have heard the only problem with them is installing them, have to use dynomat and all those goodies. I got them for 315 on ebay from www.cbrstereo.com , have serial numbers and authinticity card so they are a new non-referbished set, my buddy with the accord paid 650 from the local dealer and they are only the k's not the k2's, and of course i rubbed it in his face. I can't wait till i get to hear them in the Z.

Oh yeah I hit 18,034 this morning on my way to school

I hit 41,000 today actually, then i was thinking how I have pictures of driving accross the entire country with it. I drove from Chicago IL the northern route all the way to seattle washington to visit some friends then went to LA and lived there for 2 and a half months then march 15th drove the southern route to key west, then after that hopped back on the eastern coast going to new york and then back onto the highway through ohio went back to chicago, and here i am. Its really interesting how small the world seems when your cruisin through it at 130 MPH and get coast to coast in a RED SS.

I have 49,xxx miles on my 98 Z. The only problem I've had has been the INOP pump going out and then that cost me my cats.
I wouldn't have any other car and since this was my first camaro I hope to be pulling the tarp off of it in about 20 yrs. and showing it to my son.

2001 Z28 just turned 10,000 miles. No major problems. Sort of aggravated with this clunking noise from the rear at low speeds (1 or 2nd gear)????
