how long will it last

I was just wondering i have a 99 z28 with 130000 miles on it. if I run it hard how long do you think it will last? And if it goes should i rebuild or put a different motor in. I want more horsepower on a small budget. Just asking for some good advise.

I have 195k on mine, runs fine, but I dont dog mine out all day either. More HP on a small budget, well thats questionable. Whats your budget? Because theres only a few things you can do for cheap, like under $300, then they start at $300 at least, even with used parts. So if you dont have the money for bolt ons, you probably shouldnt try to blow your motor.

With adequate maintenance, I don't think 180K is unreasonable. Now if the car spends most of its life at redline, that's another story...

are you 10?
Most mature people would know 2 things.. Run it hard and it will eventually fail.. Most probably earlier than you want.

and #2.. it always costs $$ to repair or replace..

so why would you even ask such a question?

If you dont have the $ for it dont break it... Learn to drive it properly..

If you have more $ than brains, then by all means, leave it in neutral and run it up till the over rev protection kicks in... repeat.. 11tybillion times..
