how long to run cam without tune?
I just purchased a TR 230/224 .575/.563 111 cam setup and it will be going in shortly. My tune won't be ready for another week or two. How long would you guys recommend running this cam with a pcm that was only tuned for minor mods?

stumbling idle and surging won't really bother me. The main problem is coming up with the money right off the bat for a good tune. I'm just worrying about damaging something. How long should i run stock injectors with this setup?

It's fine most of the time on one condition....
Take it easy until you get a tune. The car can help keep the AFR in line for light~moderate part throttle. But if you go flooring it, the learning become guessing and chances are your AFR will be in the 16:1~17:1 range instead of the 12.5:1~13.0:1 range it should be. Not to mention, your timing is going to be off as well.
So, you can drive it around as long as you go easy until after your tune.

Don't mean to jack the thread... But on that note, is there any harm in installing larger injectors than what is needed? (waiting for future mods. Large injectors will be of use later). They just won't work as hard, right?

Bigger injectors are fine. But, they will need to be tuned for in the PCM in order for the car to run right. I run SVO 30's to keep up with my H/C setup. The next thing on the list would be to replace the fuel pump to keep up with the injectors.
