How to launch?
How to launch?
When I went to the track I kept on bogging off the line.Should I be stalling it,or just slowly ease off the clutch?my E/T could be so much better if I didn't bogg off the line.

your time really looks good to me. the first question is are you getting traction? I really don't kmow much about M6's at the track but I would say try different things and then see what deos the best. try different rpms to launch from. mabey rev up to 2000 then -not dump the clutch but close to it, hopfully someone with a m6 will reply to help you better---go luck
I have to slip the clutch or nothing but wheel spin, street tires can't handle the power. With the stock gears it was a fine line between bog off the line or go up in smoke, nice sticky track and the game changes again.
What was your 60' time and what tires you runnin' on? Usually 2.0 60' is pretty good for street tires. Looking at your ET/mph you should be close to a 2.0 60' as it is. Get some sticky tires if you want better than 2.0 60'.
Until then just try different combinations of launch rpm and how fast you roll into the throttle. I've always left tire pressure at 32, but some say that even with street radials you can gain some traction dropping the pressure to 25 or so, just play with it and find how low you can go without loosing traction. I typically launch at ~1500-2000rpm(depending on track conditions) and ease into the throttle after the clutch engages.
With a lowered car without relocation brackets and 4.10 gears I can spin the tires almost anytime in first gear when I go WOT. Took me alot of runs to get a consistant 2.0 60' with my setup. Now I went and added a few things so I get to try a few different things again. Hoping for 1.9's on my all season radials

I took my 99 Z28 (only mods done are borla catback-not even intake) to the track not to long ago about a month ago i ended up either bogging out or spinning crazy off the line with the stock tires. then i put some slicks on and i grabbed like there wasnt anything to it but i still had a little bogging going on and then when i got up top i ended up running a 14.0 for the most part. Then i took them off put the streets back on (if u know anything about copper cobras THEY SUCK AND DONT GRAB AT ALL
) I then reved up to about 3200 rpms and kinda feathered the clutch shifts everytime at 5500 and i ended up running a 13.769@102.62MPH... But also remember i just bough my car and just ran it there for the first time im guessing with some larger launches and a few more pracitce runs ill be at about a 13.5 to 13.6 basically stock. So try feathering from about 3 grand. Sorry if i didnt help. But thats where i best suceeded.
