Hey guys, how do you get the **** off the A4 shifter?

 

Nevermind guys, got it.

 

how do you get it off cant figure it out either

 

Theres a little pen in it you have to pull out. It's on the side facing the dash. You can usually get it out with a key or a pair of pliers or something.

 

Its more of a staple. I used a flat head screw driver.

 

DO YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE LEATHER WRAPPING OFF OF IT FIRST OR SOMETHING

 

NO, JUST LOOK FOR THE STAPLE LIKE THE GUY ABOVE SAID, AND REMOVE IT WITH A SMALL FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVER OR A SMALL PAIR OF NEEDLENOSE PLIERS. ONCE THE STAPLE IS OUT, THE WHOLE **** PULLS RIGHT OFF.

Oh, and by the way, stop typing in all CAPS!!!

Are you replacing the stock **** with a custom? If so, where did you get the new one. I have wanted to replace mine.

Here is mine. It is an Ichibahn Cruz ****. You can get it at Crutchfield and a number of other places online. I paid about $60 for mine. It is a very sturdy unit and feels really nice in your hand. The leather is a much higher quality leather than the stock one.

I would love to have a push start button. Where can you get those?
