Im pretty sure i know how to gut my cats but is there any easier way beside ordering the o2 sensors to keep my ses light from coming on? What i really want to know is if there is a homade way of doing this or a really cheap way of doing this. Thanx guys

You can either by some editing software for your car's computer and delete the rear O2's, or you can just order O2 sims.

Just gutted mine and no SES light. Well, yet. I think also that the 98-00s had the cats welded in so on the passenger side you're gonna have to cut the pipe before the attatchment for the hanger. At least that's what I had to do.

Question

Well guess what happened? The SES light came on today!!!! So exactly what other than just the light will happen?? Hmm. I dunno. But gutted cats and a cut out sure does sound wicked!! Just that any little backfire sounds like a bomb going off from under my car!!

Oh and does anyone know exactly how the O2 simms actually work?? Im suppose they just send a constant voltage back to the PCM so it thinks that they're doing their job. Maybe I can make my own. I can get the connectors for the O2 sensors just need to know how they work so I can do my own. Thanks!

Xdsmer, thats exactly what i would do. Just by a resistor or seomthin. Kinda like cags skip shift. I dont see why it wouldne work. As for Cutout and gutted cats. Yea its sound wicked but i got tired of the......well....kinda hard to explain sound. Its the sound right when your takin off but as soon as the engine gets turning its sounds sweet.
