Question How can I run low 12's???

My mods are in the sig. I am thinking of maybe getting the ftra, a cam and some tires. Maybe an ls6 intake as well. What else do I need to see the low 12's if I am a pretty good driver???

Good tires
FTRA or SS
LS-6 MAF
ASP pullt
JetHot LT's

I think that should do it.

Hmm.....low 12's eh? Lets see, you'll need:

Bigger cam
LT headers
Slicks
LS6 intake
TRACTION!!!!

OR

150 shot of nitrous
Slicks
TRACTION!!!!

thats how to hit low 12's, but im sure you understand that somethings will require more work. Like with the nitrous, you should upgrade your fuel pump and injectors. With a cam you might want to upgrade to larger injectors too. For traction, aftermarket rear LCA's and PHB will help. LCA relocation brackets too.....

I cannot get any sort of headers because I live in Ca. I could maybe get some shorties but I dont think that that is a good mod because of the installation price and plus the gains arent really anything right???CA smog sucks!!!!I might just get the ftra, some tires, ls6 intake and some sort of cam. What cam should I go with though??? It is not a daily driver and I want it to have a decent idle and offer mostly low to mid range power. Any ideas anyone????Thanks again!!

A Z06 cam with a LS6 intake with tunning will net approx 35-40 rwhp.

I live in CA, I'm getting headers soon. If you want LT's just make sure that they have the smog provisions. And keep the stock cats. Then its legal. It is tough finding a shop that will do it though. Get a friend or two to help you and save a few hundred $$$.

If you get some sticky tires like Nittos, I hope you don't snap something in the rear with the m6 / 4.10s.

Im not trying to flame but your wrong. The only smog legal headers here in Cali are shorties, and those arent worth it. Any time you move the cats you are automatially not complying with the smog laws. LT's are not legal for that very reason, they move the cats. Doesnt matter if you keep cats on, one they are moved from their stock location you wont pass the visual (if the tech cares). Now give the tech $100.00 to look the other way and you have a better chance. Also, any afermarket smog legal part will cary a C.A.R.B. exemption number. No LT header has one because every LT header moves the cats.

My bad. I just found that out from an exhaust shop this morning. I think it SHOULD be legal, if you have the stock cats still on. One of the things i hate about California.

Don't worry, no offense taken. Thank you for the correction.
