HOTCAM or LS6 CAM bigger?
HOTCAM or LS6 CAM bigger?
It's probably something I can find myself, but I am too lazy tonight to find out the info. Plus I figured yall will give me other feedback on which one to get. I already ordered my QTPs LTs, so the next step is the cam.
Im pretty sure the LS6 cam has a bigger lift, but the hot cam is more aggresive. Also it's a lot cheaper then buying other cams. BTW im selling my LS1 Hotcam kit if your interested.

02 ls6 has bigger lift but 01 should be the same
hotcam is a lil more aggresivve but u should definelty get thunder or comp for optimum performance
ls6 has like no duration
you need extra lift if u have heads

Hot Pick: LS1 Hotcam Camshaft (Duration @ .050: 218 Intake / 227 Exhaust) (.525/.525 Lift) / 112 LSA: $375.00.
Hot Pick: ASA Hotcam Camshaft (Duration @ .050: 226 Intake / 236 Exhaust) (.525/.525 Lift) / 110 LSA: $400.00.
2001 LS6 Cam: 204/211 .525/.525 Int CL:118, Exh CL:114 LSA:116 Cam Base Circle: 19.3mm
2002 LS6 Cam: 204/218 .551/.547 Int CL:120, Exh CL:115 LSA:117.5 Cam Base Circle: 19mm
Use the 02 LS6 cam. Decent power (for a daily driver), decent price, easy on parts...
The Hotcam is cool, but it idles hard.
The more aggressive cams like TR and Comp cost ALOT more and only make slightly better power from the dynos I have seen. TR 224 only got 9 hp more in the same engine, no other changes.
