Horsepower calculator

It may not be exact, but it is cheaper than a dyno and is a place to start. You will need your 1/4 mile trap speed and vehicle weight. Other things work, too. Enjoy....

That was not even close on mine.
It said I should be running 12.67. Not!

Very far off. Almost a whole second.

Eh, about half a second off from my best run, but heck, the track I normally race at is notorious for being slow.

Surprisingly though, it was dead on with my friend's SS; only off by about 2 hundreths of a second from his run at 13.15 @ 106.57. But that run was at the Pomona drag strip....one of the best tracks ever...

It didn't look accurate to me.........

Results:

Horsepower Results - 1/4 Mile Method
Your Camaro Z28 weighs about 3600 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 11.86 seconds. That means that you've got about 426.52 HP at the wheels, and about 554.47 HP at the flywheel.

There is no way I make that much horsepower.

My last dyno netted 359/450. Then I tuned it up, ran the car and ran the times in the sig. At most, maybe I make 375.
