Hhpiii?
You should be fine as long as you don't have an aftermarket Shift Kit. I had mine set at 100% for a while, but decided to go back a bit since my transmission seems to shift hard with out the HPP3. And it hit dang hard with the program. Set it, test it, reset it if needed, to what you like.
For driving on the street = 50%
For the track = 100%
25% you will barely feel, so 50 is good for the street.
75 % won't feel much different than 50, so set it to 100% for the track.
Bottom line: firming up the the shift firmness is harder on the transmission, and ours is crap. 100% on the street is a little rough to be driving on all the time, and hard on the tranny. It won't break anything, but it will lessen the life of the tranny. You will be fine with 50% on the street though, that won't hurt it, so don't worry.

I sorta thought it was opposite to that
. I thought that it's excess "slippage" during the shifts that's bad for the trannies, so the firmer it is, the less it slips, and in the long run it's better.......just that most people don't want a hard shifting car for normal driving?
FWIW, I've got mine set to 100% firmness on the streets and I like it..........you can feel each shift, and 2nd sometimes gives a little "chirp"
. I hated how "mushy" the factory shifts were
.

So does anyone know for sure if setting the firmness to 100% is bad for the tranny? I set mine to 100% and i like the way it shifts, its not a really really big difference but it does shift better. Thanks
