Here comes winter...

...and time for another round of mods.

What's everybody planning to do this year?!?!

My plans include right now:

1) 231/240 0.643/0.608 (LSK/X-ER) Custom Cam; it's basically a G5X2 on steroids.
2) Livernois Stage II 243 Heads
3) ASP Pulley (To complete my bolt-ons)
4) Upgrade to 3.73 gears if I have any leftover $$$.

I have a feeling my tranny won't last much longer. I'll probably yank my SS3600 out and sell it to upgrade to a PT4000.

One question though, do you think I can spray a small 100shot with the PT4000 converter? Anybody here done that, or will I blow through?

Locked this should get me around 430rwhp through the Auto if i'm lucky... maybe more. Shooting for a solid 11 second car.

Anybody else???

But it sounds like a nice setup you're going with. Those Livernois heads net great result. I wouldn't be suprised if you exceeded your horsepower goals with a good tune.

I would plan for a little more additional valvetrain work as a precaution. You might already be thinking of that, but I figured I'd just throw it in there.

The PT4000 converter will handle that heads/cam setup with a 100 shot if you're OK with spinning the engine high. Anything less than a 6800 shift point the converter won't take it. So bascially if you're running an LS6 intake it won't like it, but with a FAST 92 setup you should be OK. Reason behind this is that the LS6 limits HP peak around 6400 even when overcammed, while the FAST can peak around 7000rpm.

Shooting for a solid 11 second car.
Done right I would expect low 11s all day long, and easy mid-high 10s or better spraying - depending upon the tire/suspension of course.

Yeah, i'm stuck with the LS6; I'm doing the H/C combo and ordering a Sunoco Hood + the new Billet Specialties 17" Street lite wheels so i'm gonna be broke and no money for the Fast this year anyways... lol

Maybe the new Yank series SBS3800 would be a nice converter. I need to learn more about this new line...
