Exclamation Help me please! I can't get the hood to shut!

I've spent about 2 hours so far getting this hood on.. and now it doesn't fit!! Like it won't shut.. I understand I need to fit it correctly, we've tried loosening and pushing several times but it doesn't want to shut. Any tips or heck even a web page that tells me or could help me do this? It would be Great help!!

I've got a huge headache. :blah:

Thanks ahead of time for those who help me!

(I Reposted cause I wasn't getting any responses in LS1 Tech.)

If you haven't already, try loosing the bolts at the hood and hinges, hinges and front strut-towers, and the bolts for the hood latch. Then leave them loose (loose not off) and see if you can get it to sit where it should that way. If you can, then slowly tighten each indivual bolt making sure the hood will still close as you go. If for some reason as you're tightening each indivual bolt and positioning at the same time, then the hood doesn't want to close like it did earlier, loosen that bolt and work on a different one and come back to that one later. It takes a lot of time and probaly mulitple tries to get it just perfect. If for some reason the thing won't close after every nut and bolt is loosened then check it on another car or measure it against the old hood and make sure its close to what you had. Some of the cheaper hoods are sometimes unuseable and have to be sent back for a replacement. Good luck.

Note: make sure to mark where the bolts where orignally in case for some reason you have to put back on the old one. It will make it A LOT easier.
