I've got a pretty good knock retard problem. I'm pretty sure it has to do w/ precombustion due to high temps, so I'm looking to do a 160 stat and HTPP fan reprogramming. Aside from that, anyone else who has had this problem, have you found any improvement going to a cooler plug like the NGK TR55? I always run 93 octane, so the gas isn't the problem. The car revs and pulls great when it's kind of cool, it's only when it gets fully up to temperature that the "knocking" starts.
Any and all feedback welcome. Retard starts in the 4200 rpm range on the dyno, and on initial dip in w/ normal driving, almost like it's a mixture problem.

Lid, Holly Powershot, FRA, descreened MAF, and a flowmaster. Got it dynoed way back when before the Maf got descreened, and it had a bit of knock above 4200. Guy suggested a cooler plug but I haven't changed them. It has gotten more noticable since its been heating up here, but last night it didn't do it at all when it was cooler outside, so I'm wondering if its just the IAT thats getting too warm? Not the sensor, the air charge itself. And of course, it never happens until the car is up to temp, so it may just be the air temps. Been close to 90, gotta love April.
