Question help!! is the LS1 intake manifold really plastic??

some people online are trying to make out the remains of a charred vehicle... one's argued against it being a corvette because they say the intake manifold is plastic

is this true?!?!

what a strange thing!

wow.. pretty freaky looking.. Not any american car.. Fbodys arent all steel.. only the rear 1/4 panels... The fronts are all plastic.. but that car has been determined to have FWD at the least...
Most likely AWD..

I say its european of some sort..

Let us know if anyone figures it out.. I would like to know!

farfrummugen,

That is definately not a LS1, notice the drives for the overhead
camshafts. I'm not sure what it was though.

BTW, yes the LS1/LS6 intakes aren't metal.

Cool

I checked out that link and scanned through all the pictures......................definitely the Audi A8 w/dual over-head cams --- no doubt in my mind. All the brackets on the motor look the same, as well as the alternator and other pullies...........................although, a very striking resemblance to the LS1 intake.

Caddy Elderado with a Northstar? The northstar intake manifolds look like the LS1, but I think those are made out of plastic too..
