HELP installing longtubes 99

I don't have the headers yet but I want to know if there are any modifications needed to install longtubes? I have a 99' Z28 and I'm going to purchase the hooker long tubes. I have some experence installing shorties, but I want to know if its easier or harder to install the longtubes? Anyone have any good tips or a good website that can take me through the process. I'm not worried about any of the exhaust after the headers because I'm going with a dual setup that I can put on really easy. Anything will help.

Well your going to need to extend some wires. There are like three wires that wont be long enough on the passenger side when longtubes are installed. I know one is the oil sensor wire but I for got the others. Also if you are still going to use cats, you will need 02 wire extentions.

I'm not using cats and I already have O2 sims, so that won't be a problem. The others can you just splice a wire inbetween or do you need new stuff?

Yeah I just cut and added the extra lenght I needed. Longtubes will be a tight fit to get in but they are worth it. GOOD LUCK!

Did you have to move anything or take anything off? Do you have any advise? Do you suggest doing one certin side first or is it mostly trial and error? What problems did you encounter?

the 02 extensions came with the hookers and it was alot easier than i expected. The only things i had to remove was the coil pack rack on the passenger valve cover for room to get to bolts, disconnect the steering linkage, oil filter, and oil deflecter, very simple evrything you need comes with it except 02 simms, rtv silicone, and antiseize.
