Heads/Cam swap question

When doing a heads/cam swap, what other considerations need to be made? Is this just something that you can do without adjusting anything or having something else in conjunction or what? Thanks.

you may want to consider pumping up your fuel injectors, idle speed, rev. limit. Be sure to check your oil pump. IN fact, as long as you're down there, since you have to remove the oil pump anyway, consider replacing it with the heavy duty SLP pump, or the ls-6 oil pump. $140 you can't really go wrong with this simple mod. You'll most likely want a tune after a heads/cam swap. Your Air/fuel ratio will go haywire.

I have Hookers and love em. Jet Hots are pretty cheap and are great headers, and I hear good things about Flowtechs as well.

I know you were asking teke but I'll answer for him. Pipes=y pipe gasket=collector gaskets (and I believe he did egr and air block off to so probably those as well) extensions=02 sensor plug extension. If that isn't right teke can correct me.

Don't forget to upgrade your valve train. Your new heads will have heavier springs so you'll need better pushrods and timing chain at the very minimum. If it's a high mileage car new lifters and rockers wouldn't be a bad idea.

Headers/injectors should be a given to me anyway, lid sure - programming a must. Of course some people are happy with a flaky powerband and less than stellar gas mileage.
