headlights

My 98's headlights are very cloudy and if you look closer look like they are scratched up. I tried cleaning them but it didn't really do much. A friend of mine told me to use a mild abrasive but I'm afraid this will just scratch it up more. Is there a solution out there to this problem?

I was just waxing mine today and noticed how messed up mine are.
If anyone has a solution, please share.

get brighter headlights
scratches really dont hurt anything. I'd say stay away from the abrasives too!

Try Meguiars plastic window polish. I used this product to get some scratches out of an instrument panel bezel. It did not take out all of the scratches, but it made the scratches smoother and less visible.
