Headers Question

Ok, just how difficult is it to put LT headers on? The lowest quote Ive gotten is like $350. I know I dont have the tools since I just moved out of a 1 Bed apt. and havent had the time to get hardcore tools yet. However, with the appropriate promises of several cases of beer, Im sure I could find some. Has anyone here done this job themselves and how much is there to it? By the way, Im looking at Hooker LT's.

Have to keep it 50-state legal so Im open to suggestions. BTW, this is my first foray into headers.

legal? well, that doubles the price... hehe.. j/k well, if you just hafta, hafta, hafta have cats, i'd suggest getting a matched catted y-pipe when you buy the headers. i got a custom built orp here locally for 75 bucks.

My friend installed some LT's on his car and it took all damn day. Had to get the car up quite high to get them in. I would like to throw some on my ride as well.

Removing the engine isnt neccesary. You just need to be able to get the car high enough.

I've helped install TTS, SLP and Hooker LT's. The Hooker's were the easiest install, took 2 of us about 6 hours taking our time.

Took my guy almost 3 days which included interuptions from other custoemrs of course. Y-pipe took almost 5 hours. He had to lift the drivers side of the engine so he wouldn't habe to pound the headers in with a mallet.
