how do I know if long tubes or short tubes are for me? Looking into headers and want an affordable brand name but still nice. Was thinking about hooker ceramic coated. But do i need/want LT or ST?

Definetly go the Longtube route. I havn't heard too many complains about Hooker's, maybe someone who has them can chime in.

long tubes:
most power but you sacrifice some ground clearance and you won't be emissions legal (sniff test maybe with cats but not visual)

shorties:
you get a bit less HP, but you maintain ground clearance, and can pass both visual and sniff test smog laws (if set up to do so).

long tubes gain you about 15hp at the wheels, from most dyno tests i've seen (headers alone, catback already in place). shorties would probably gain you between 7-12 hp depending on whether you keep the cats or us an offroad pipe.

cost is relatively similar
