header y-pipe questions

SLP ypipe is the only one that will fit stock headers. The SLP ypipe will not fit hooker headers. only hooker ypipe will fit hooker headers,
hooker ypipe will not fit stock headers. Also the SLP ypipe MUST use factory cats.
hope this helps,
Leon
LMPerformance

this came from an e-mail from lmperformance. I am lookin for headers and a y-pipe and don't know what to do. I want to run an off road pipe with no cats I really like the hooker header y-pipe combo but I have a LM cat back. Is what is said in the above quote true b/c I want to do the y-pipe now and save for the headers. Will a hooker y-pipe fit stock headers and SLP LM cat back? Or will i have to go with The SLP thru out(not really what I want to do) I really want to keep my LM cat back and use the Hooker header and y-pipe will this work?

Any ypipe will fit up to your catback exhaust system. Most aftermarket ypipes are designed to hook up to LT headers. I believe SLP and MAC have ypipes that hook up to the original manifold, and doing that would be sensless.

Y-pipes listed seperately will be for stock manifolds. Y-pipes listed in the Headers sections were designed to work with a particular header. Longtube headers have completely different exit points than manifolds. Look at the pictures. Shorty headers end at the same location as manifolds. LT's come down much further.
