Head Gasket or Piston Ring??

My roomate has 01 WS6 and the thing is pouring white smoke out of the exhaust. It doesnt really look like blue smoke at all but at the same time it doesnt smell sweet either. Its pouring alot of smoke like my 94 LT1 did when i blew a head gasket but on mine I could smell the sweet smell. Since his is an 01 and uses the orange antifreeze instead of the older green stuff, could that be why it doesnt smell sweet? Otherwise im thinking it may be oil. We deleted the PCV system because of the known oil blowback issue and I thought we had the problem solved because the vacuume line i pulled off the intake manifold for the pcv system did have oil in it. It doesnt smoke as bad now but it still smokes alot. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Pouring white smoke = headgasket.

Know your colors

White = Combusting Coolant
Black = Running Rich
Blue = Combusting Oil

However, the 01 cars tended to have weaker oil rings from my experience.

I know the colors, its just strange that its pouring white smoke and doesnt smell sweet at all. Unless the orange antifreeze just doesnt smell sweet like the green. Also the antifreeze is not getting low. It smells more like burning oil but the smoke just doesnt at all look blue.
