hard to shift at stop.. '99 w/ 6-speed M6
Hey guys,
I have a '99 Z28, with the 6 speed M6. in the past couple months i've noticed it can be hard to put it in gear when at a stop, especially into 1st or reverse. I suspect its an adjustment needed on the clutch throw, because i have to have it mashed to the floor, even about a 1/4" lift on the pedal you can hear the engine starting to take the load. Is it likely to be the clutch is not throwing far enough? if so, how do i make such an adjustment?
Thanks!!
Joe

The hydraulics in the clutch assembly suck @$$. You might wanna check into upgrading to a new slave cylinder. There's also a few people who have managed to fabricate an adjustable master cylinder out of their stock one, but the easier way is just to buy the McLeod adj. master cyl. I believe by adjusting the master cylinder, you can control when the clutch engages the flywheel.
