Guys, I need help!

Hey guys, I'm getting some Hooker LT's for 99 Z-28. I've ehard getting the ORP gives you some rasp and you can't pass inspection. What I'd like to do is is fabricate a y-pipe with some cats. Is it possible for me to use my own stock cats or do I have to buy a Mufflex pipe with some cats welded on it or what? Again, I'm only getting a y-pipe over a ORP because I've been told that the sound is cleaner with less rasp and you have less inspection troubles. Please help and I apologize if this question is redundant.
Thanks,
Sam

What I plan on doing when I get my Hookers (and I need cats in ontario...)....is not spend an insance amount of money for the mufflex and chop it up.

I'll have a custom Y made, but use my stock cats....they might not flow as good as carsounds or RT's, but it is a loss of 2-5hp for a savings of 300 US dollars ($500 Cdn), so its worth it.

i've been doing quite a bit of research on headers lately myself and i keep leaning towards the hooker lt's. i guess (here in texas) passing emissions will be ok with a custom y and using my stock cats....i still need to check and make sure that everything is going to be ok with inspection if i do that....

....good luck with your hookers (hehe) and i would like to add that i think that dohhunter has the right idea for your purpose in mind...
