Grotyohann Header ????
Grotyohann Header ????
Hey Guys and Gals,
Just need your opinion and or experience with Grotyo headers. I had plans of buying some new Kook's LT 1 3/4" headers, but was presented with an interesting offer today. Basically I can get a set of lightly used Grotyo 1 3/4" LT's along with a y pipe with 2 highflow cats and get everything cleaned up and coated for less than a set of Kook's headers alone. I know Grotyo's were discontinued for some reason, but have been rereleased recently under another name. Is this something I should stay away from or are they a quality header. Any input, especially experience, would be great, and NO, I won't give you the phone number of where they are for sale
Edit- I think I may have found my own answer. It seems Kook's followed Grotyohann's design when developing there header so that has to say something. Also, these are original Groty headers and have been sitting in storage for 6 months, they are not the new style. Feel free to offer any comments or exp you have though, pls.

Re: Grotyohann Header ????
Go back about 3 years ago and you'd find that Grotyohann's were considered by many to be the best header available. Roger hasn't been in business for a while now...basically because he didn't know how to properly run a business (no other reason).
Since then, Kooks, QTP, PPC and ThunderRacing have all pretty much copied the Grot design. They might have made a few little changes to the design but they're still pretty much the same.
All the above mentioned headers are nice (including Grotyohann), the only downside is the price. So...if you can get a good deal on any of them, go for it. JMHO
