Granatelli MAF

Read in a mag that a Granatelli MAF improved a LT1 by 28 horses. The dyno runs showed the difference. What do you guys think?

Re: Granatelli MAF

Unless you have an LS1 race car, the stock one should be fine for a long time. I don't think you'll see any real gains on an LS1 by adding a MAF, in fact, most cars they actually throw off the AFR.

Re: Granatelli MAF

I think i read that the stock maf will support 600 hp (correct me if i'm wrong) so aftermarket is a waste of money imho.

Re: Granatelli MAF

It's honestly a waste of money, unless somebody either stole or broke your stock MAF with a hammer or something. Most advertised HP numbers are far fetched, much like a tornado etc. I wouldn't beleive they made 28 RWHP on an LT1, unless they had a sock in the stock MAF

That money is better spend on the rear suspension or some other bolt ons

Waste of time.

I'm using the stock MAF on my car.
