Question Got some qtr mile times in the 2002, what do yall think

Playing with the gtech today, had everything zeroed out perfect on 4 runs, one was hp, gave me 302 to the rear wheels. then i ran a 14.1 at 108.5 a 14.0 at 108.3 then a 13.7 at 109.7. These runs were with driver (me ) and a passenger, both about 200 lbs. Still having trouble with luanching, but the mph has potential for more. What do yall think.

Being you don't live that far from HRP I would take it there before believing what the G-tech tells you..From your mods I would thing the car would ET quicker IMOP..

It's definately off a little bit. But you're at least in the ball park. The best use for the GTech is to compare against a baseline before and after you do a mod. For actual documentable times, go to the track. You'll either run quicker ET or slower MPH when you go to the track. If you only run a 14.0 your speed will probably be just over 100. If you run 109 your ET will be very low 13's.

You have to also consider reaction time. My turbo timer has a 1/4 mile thing in it but it starts the clock when it feels the wheels start to move. Not sure exactly how the G-TECH works but if it's like my turbo timer then you have to add a bit for reaction also.

thanks for the replys, Its my friends gtech and i thought i would try it out. I work on the weekends and and go to school during the weekdays. Sucks b/c we don't realy have a track here in corpus, and my schedule keeps me from running up to houston or SA to get some 1/4 mile times. Just thought i would throw it out there and see what everyone thinks. I was pretty impressed with the mph, even if the gtech is off 2 mph (which they say) then thats still 107 and a pretty good trap speed.

All gtechs times ive seen tested then run at the track, the et is really close but the mph is higher on gtech than at tracks.

still having traction problems, when i hit second i can feel the tires let loose rather than chrip, mustered up a 13.64 at 111.9. On another run I missed 3rd , best luanch i have done, got a 14.56 at 75. Still managed to beat my friends 5.0 time with the gtech with that 14.5 though . Maybe i should wait and get some wider tires before i put the 4.10's in.

I have taken a 00 A4 z28 and a 02 A4 z28 and nailed an easy 13.4 with both. Just about any stock ls1 can get 13.5 and under, especially with that 6 spd. Traps are consistently 105-106mph. Just dont get too excited on the tree and end up with 2.2 or worse 60 fts.

the turbo timer or whatever it is, does anyone know who makes it?

also, toykilla i hope you dont think that r/t has anything to do with your ET at the track, cause it doesnt.....not sure if i understand what your saying but thats what it sounds like

gives me a good ballpark though, beats having to buy a helmet and so on. I expect the mph to be 2-3 mph off, or so i was told by the owner of the g-tech. He runs it with his 2001 gt at houston raceway. It is a fun toy none the less .

A friend of mine checked out his g-tech at the drag strip and set it up on his run. It was only 2/100ths out on the quarter but the mph was too high.

There are many companies who make turbo timers. The purpose for them is to allow turbos to cool down for a while before shutting the engine off. Basically, you set the timer and turn your key to off and take it out of the ignition. The car will continue to run until the timer runs out, at which time the car will shut off... The reason for this is, if you get the turbo's really hot and just shut the car off, the oil in the turbos will cook and you'll reduce the life of your turbo.

A turbo timer has no real purpose on an N/A car.
