Got pulled over. What Now?

Alright I just got my car back from the shop less than 2 weeks ago and I already got pulled over last saturday for my exaust being too loud. No ticket but that will happen next time. My setup is SLP LT's w/ORP's and Loudmouth. I want to put a muffler on it that is going to quiet it down and not restrict the exaust too much. What do you guy's suggest? And what kind of cash am I looking at to get this done?

Thanks

I also have a Q-Tec Electric Cutout on my 94 Z28. It has Eldelbrock Jet hot coated headers and Y-Pipe and right after the Y I put the cutout going to a flowmaster system. It is cool open it and get on it and then see a cop and then close it lol. I have had it for about 2 years with no problems yet so it seems to be a good deal. I am debating on not changing the exhaust on my 99 and just do the Electric cutout on it as well as once you go that way it's hard to go back to a normal catback.

Well since Stik6Shift 98 has not got back to you, let me give you some advice, Jegs , pick up a Dynomax Bullet Race Muffler part number 24219 (18") since you have LT headers and ORP, take your car to a muffler shop and have them cut off the resonator and weld the Race Muffler in it's place... The muffler will run you $ 36.00 plus $ 8 shipping/handling... for UPS Ground or you can pay more and get overnight or 2nd day...

What you are actually doing is converting the Loudmouth to a Dynomouth Exhaust, don't worry both DM and LM flow the same.. You can even make a DM out of the stock I-Pipe (which is what I did w/ the above muffler as I am recommending) and it will clean up the sound as well be a little quieter then the LM but trust me @ 3,000 rpms and above it screams like Race Car...

check out ratio411's DM Howto ..

I love the DM sound because it is nice rumble but then it will scream @ Upper RPMS... From what I have heard that w/ LT Headers, ORP and LM is way tooo loud, but from a soundclip that I heard of LT Headers, ORP, No Cats w/ 18" Bullet, Agressive but not tooo loud...

L@tez,

Charlie
