Post GM sticker

I have a 2001 SS. There is a sticker next to the aircleaner that says...GM Campaign, Do Not Remove. Then it has some handwritten numbers on it. Does anyone know what this sticker is?

Sounds to me like GM did a yard campaign(when someone finds a bad part on the line and they had to trace it back to where it first started)The numbers could be the vender that made the partor something. I build Isuzu's cough* cough* and know we had have done that before. I wouldn't worry about that sticker it just shows that they checked the part. Thats just my guess

More than likely there was a TSB ( Technical Service Bulletin) on your year/ model for a small problem. It was taken care of before you bought it. If you tell a good dealer service rep the number you see on the sticker he should be able to tell you what they did to the car.

I've only seen the stickers applied when work was performed due to an actual recall of some type, so I would say something was repaired after the car left the factory, but before it got to the dealer. I do seem to recall reading something here or on another forum about some cars being held up for some reason or another last year, but don't quote me on it ....

I've had more than my share of TSB work done to my '99 SS and they've never put a sticker on it.

That's a new one. Try posting in the Camaro SS forum at http://www.slpeng.com/slpforum/index.html One of the engineers may know.
