Cool Girls have nice cars too!

Hi, I need some advise. I have a black 99 camaro ss with tints, slp exhaust, eibach springs 1.5, bilstein shocks, hotchkiss rear suspension package, hypertech programer, ss shift **** from mba,and a b&m short shifter. Now that you have a mental picture. Yes! The car belongs to a girl. Now can anyone suggest something else for the car that can make it look more like MY car and not "a boyfriends" car?

Well, thats a very nice ride you have there. A vanity license plate could do the trick, something like HER SS, or HERS. Other things (not to be an ***) you could have nice metallic/pearl pink or puprple stripes painted on it, or could have the badges painted in these same colors. Its kinda of sterotyping but hey it would work, and on a black car would look badass

Paint it pink!

Unfortunately, cars have traditionally been a guy thing. Any car which is hot rodded (modded) up, it will be assumed it has a "guy" owner. Why, because in most circumstances its true. After all, how many other women do you see driving LS1 F-Bodies. How many of them mod their cars. Now compare that to the number of men who do?

What I would do is simply drive your ride like its yours. If anyone asks, tell them with a straight answer. You could get a license plate frame or window sticker which simply states "This is not my boyfriend's car". You may want to avoid something like "Girls Rule", since it may come across as an open challenge or offend your fellow F-Body enthusiasts. Bottom line its your car, you own it, and people will come to realize that after a while.

Cool

Soooo, do you come around here often? Can I buy you a drink? Okay everyone - RELAX! Just kidding. Seriously though, there's only one thing better than a hot car and that's a chick who owns a hot car! COOL! Maybe I'll see ya at an SFFB gathering. We need more women on these message boards.

Wink

Alright some of the ideas I have heard sound really good. As per painting the car or colored strips. That is a little too bimbo-ish for me. I may be blonde but work with me. I already have a really cool license plate so I guess the license plate frame will have to do the trick. I was thinking about a cute sticker but that itself might be a bit cheesey. What do you think? But I am still up for suggestions.

How about a 160* thermostat? I just installed mine today. Florida is too freakin HOT without it!

I agree with the first thread. A vanity plate should do it. "Not hiz" or HHERRZZ or racechk. Dont trash the car with pink emblems or something cheezy. THrow on a plate that defines the driver. That'll let the world know!

Maybe you'll think this is too "rice", but every time I see a nice ride with a "GIRLIE GIRL RACING" windshield sticker, it becomes very clear which sex the owner is. check out: www.girliegirlracing.com

... and yes guys, there are pictures on that site. sheesh. ;-)

Cool

I wouldn't change a thing to make it look like a girls car. People are going to think whatever they want anyway. I get it all the time. I (we) have a 2001 SS and 2002 Z06 Corvette. I drive the SS everyday, its my baby. All the woman in my neiborhood think I'm crazy because I'm always washing it and they don't care to much for the Borla exhaust either. They just Wish!!! Have fun and don't worry about it.

Actually, theres not much you can do to an F-body to make it unique that doesn't also look hideously ugly Your car sounds pretty nice/tasteful like it is.

Hot pink racing stripes

There is a girl around town with a black new body celica that has hot pink racing stripes. Looks really good and girly type aggressive.
