Gauges?

I am looking at a water temp gauge and Trans temp gauge. Which will be better to use, Mechanical or electric? on an LS1

idk about trans temp, ive never used one, but i can tell you for sure get an electric water temp gauge, otherwise you will be running copper line through your interior and crap. i would say electric for the trans too, but like i said, im not sure.

did you use the place for your factory sensor for the water temp

I haven't installed them yet but you have to leave the factory sensor as it's the one that the PCM uses for calibrating the tune.
I'm going to us the passenger side head for mine.

electric is twice as easy if you can afford them because they are a lot more expensive

Not exactly electric are cheaper and a little more work to put in.

I take it you've never priced fuel pressure guages?? Manual $40 electric $200.

Fuel pressure gauge has a REALLY freaking expensive isolator to guarantee no high pressure fuel leaks under hood. And if you put a mechanical fuel pressure gauge in the passenger compartment of your car, I'll pass on a ride. Often electric gauges are a bit more expensive, but you have to compare apples to apples. I'd rather run wire than hard lines through my engine bay.

exactly I personally don't like fuel in my passenger compartment!
