hmmmmm, i noticed not a single gas price of $2/gallon or higher were on that page. You also get to enjoy that 93 octane. I hate the bay area.

actually I used two methods..

one is save every gas receipt...when i get it, I write down the mileage and the odometer reading..

the other was to keep my pda in the car and just update the spreadsheet.. I prefer method 1 just because it means I dont leave a $1000 pda in the car... (was $1000 when new.. had the compaq 3970 with 1 gb drive and 256mb on top of blue tooth standard and 64mb ram)

sometimes I show people this just to let them understand that they will never be as psychotic as others... I get mad when my employees put a pepperoni out of place... throws off the look of the pizza...

I get over 300 miles to a full tank with driving around town and not really being careful about keeping the RPM's low. Typically I shift around 2500 RPMs to keep the noise down but on occasion I like to give friends a ride A lot of times I stop and put ~$10 in gas and can go over 150 miles before I need more.

I have kept it on cruise in 6th gear on the interstate before and had the fuel gauge just under 1/2 full with 320 miles on the tripometer. I believe a lot of people claim they too can get 30+mpg in the M6 on cruise.

Uhhhh .... are you sure that you don't have a Canadian car and that's really kilometers? rncotton
Sorry, but that is in miles, not kilometers. That is unless the traffic on I75 from Pontiac to Detroit crawls along at 80 KPH and not 80+ MPH.

Today filled up at 290 miles with 13.4 gallons of gas.

Power-to-weight ratio. More power, so the engine doesn't have to work as hard to move the car. Also, the GTP probably weighs more than the SS?

For some reason the gtp feels light? I don't know how much it weighs, but it sure is spunky if it is a heavy car. Does any one know how much a GTP does way?

On my trip to San Diego from my home (Bay Area), i averaged 26-27 mpg on the freeway with hatch full of luggage, t tops off, and windows down. I've started to shift at a higher rpm now (3k) instead of 2k and I noticed a big drop, 210 miles per tank mostly city driving. Think I'll bring it back down a little since the cheapest good (91 Shell) gas is 2.39 a gal.
