Question FTRA or whisper Ram air?

I'm considering buying one of them. The FTRA is about $40 more than the Whisper ram air but is there a real difference between them and which is better?I currently have a MTI lid and will be purchasing an LS6 intake for my '00 T/A. Also I read a post on here a few weeks ago saying that you need to reprogram the cpu when going to a LS6 intake. Is this true?

Any help will be appreciated,
Mike S

The whisper is a COPY of the FTRA's old design.. the new FTRA is the best right now..

Not bashing here, but I know someone who had the SS kit and it got torn apart. I was up in the air about which one too, but after I saw his, I ordered the FTRA. Sadly though its still in my garage because I am so damn busy lately I haven't had a chance to put it on yet I haven't heard much about the whisper kit so I can't comment on that

There's hardly any difference between the ftra, slp, or whisper ram air. So if you're only concerned about price go with the cheapest of these 3. If you want to actually scoop air into the induction system go with the Supersucker. It's more expensive but worth it. See it at.

you also have to think about quality... which one lasts longer than the other... some materials are ****tier than others... i'd rather buy something from ABC company that's 20 bucks more if it lasts me a few more years more than the other one from CBA company... thats just my opinion

I just installed an SLP lid on my 2000Z. Feels like there may be a little more there at low speed. Seat of the pants is subjective. Sounds good anyway. Materials are ok. We'll see how it holds up.
