free ram air HP

Just got done doing the free ram air mod, took me two hours, because my dremel kept dying on me, was just wondering what HP gains I am looking at from doing this mod. Ran a search on it, but didn't find anything about how much HP free ram air gives ya. thanks for the response.

Do you have a wind tunnel?

It's pretty hard to simulate the RamAir effect on a dyno. You'd have to have huge fans set up to duplicate wind speed as your wheel speed increased.

I don't think you'll see all that much but who knows? Just remember to go slow when you drive through tall grass or you can get a bunch of grass up in your air filter.

What tall grass, where you do live Africa? I wont drive my car through a puddle of water, what on earth would possess me to drive it in tall grass.

I am confused by your add ons. How can you have both FIPK and SLP lid and functioning ram air? Always willing to learn the impossible.

That would be an error on my part, I replaced the SLP lid with the FIPK and forgot to take out the Lid from my signature. In terms of Ram Air the hood functions with the stock airbox or any functional Camaro air system on.

Since hp gained from ram air increases in proportion to speed, then the amount of power it's going to add depends on how fast your going. On a dyno it gives you nothing.

I have two activities I can't live without. One is anything having to do with cars. The other is fishing. I was gonna take my boat fishing last week but the batteries were dead. Since I had already wasted almost an hour screwing around trying to get the boat running, I decided I needed to get there fast so I threw all my fishing gear in the SS instead of taking the truck.

I didn't plan on driving into such tall grass but since my secret fishing spot down by the space shuttle launch pads doesn't see much traffic anymore since last September the road had some pretty overgrown spots. I'll be sure to take the truck next time. Not the new Silverado either. I'll take the 88 Bronco 4WD.

People always talk about the 4X4 mode & stock springs. You're saying they aren't 4WD?
