I would suggest JE Pistons. Or Diamond. Make sure you have a "battle plan" on what you would like to do with the motor...nitrous, boost, high compression NA. Dont pick a piston, and not be sure on what your gonna do.

I am starting a 422 stroker this summer, and still have no idea on what the power adder is gonna be. I would like to run a T-Trim if money permits, but I may be leaning towards a nitrous setup again. I will be going with Diamond Pistons, that are coated.

Thumbs up

I vote for Diamond as well. They make a great product and their prices are reasonable.

I've got heads/cam right now and am going to spray it for a few years while I build a TT LS1.

If your going with a turbo setup, skip the twins. Go with one big one, and DO NOT use the LS1 block. Get an iron truck block, the will hold boost better. That of course is if your going to run over 15-18lbs. The LS1 can hold alot of boost, but for massive amounts the truck block is a better idea.

Good call on the diamonds. They are a great company and will do any setup you like. Make sure you have them treated (jet coated) for added protection.

make sure you need them before you buy them....
LS1's have some decent pistons (if only they were machined propperly )

Unless your lowering compression (for your turbo) or spraying 175+, you really dont need them

my 408 iron block will have Diamond piston and custom billet connecting rods along with a Callies crank all happily tucked into a 6L truck block. compression will be in the 11.5 to 12 range and we will be spraying a 250 or 300 shot from time to time.

Diamond gets my vote, but dont for get good forged connecting rods
