i really just like how flowmaster sounds over the other ones, and you do need a little backpressure to keep your low end torque right??? anyways...i don't really like borla cause i've heard it before and it sounds good to me at low RPMs but when you get on it, it sounds like a glass pack or something. i like how corsa sounds but i still like flowmaster better than that to. too many freakin decisions! thanks

Ok, then you just basically answered your own question. IF you really like how the Flowmaster exhaust sounds on LS1's, then GET IT! Don't waste your time on hear asking others because all you'll get is "what they like the best" instead of "what you like the best." Sounds like an easy decision to me.

And no, backpressure is a bad thing for LS1's(they LOVE to breathe). Your low rpm torque may "slightly" be moved up in the powerband with a very free flowing exhaust, but you won't lose any torque(nor will you feel it). That's almost always in everyones heads.

to me... its not about sound, its about quality... and when i look at the flowmaster muffler... it just seems so poor to me. However, i justy got my 2 borla XR-1 Mufflers for my NOva today.. and it was just so nice to look at them. They just feel better in my hands. BUt again i must consider the hefty price difference. and to me... well i hate the way flows sound to so... lol. BUt w/e my cousin has them in his vette and loves em.

Flowmasters do have good tone but one reason why I did not put a Flowmaster on either my 68 C10 or 02 Z, is the fact everyone in my area runs Flowmaster Exhaust well around 90 % does.. I have not heard flowmaster on an LS1 but too me I want to have a distinct tone to my car, rather then sounding like everyone else.. so I went with the Dynomouth setup... Plus I like the DM, that I am going to use 2 18" Dynomax Bullet Race Mufflers on my 68 C10 when I go to do the exhaust later on...

Plus if Flowmasters flow as well as Magnaflow Mufflers, then that would have been one hard decision to make, in my opinion, if I am goign to go w/ exhaust, it is for performance and sound.. If you don't care about performance and just want the sound, then I say go w/ Flowmaster... I am not going to say that you should go w/ something else because it is up too you w/ what you want.. Do you want both sound and performance, then go either Dynomax or Magnaflow, but if you want just sound, then go w/ Flowmaster... Choice is yours.....

Just throwing in my opinion,

l@tez,

Charlie
