Flowmaster 70 series or 80series which is better overall?
Re: Flowmaster 70 series or 80series which is better overall?
If you're going to go with just a replacement muffler, skip right past the Flowmaster... it actually doesn't flow much better than the stock exhaust, believe it or not. A great replacement muffler that's around the same cost is the Hooker Aero Chamber.
If you go for a whole catback, look at the Hooker catback, Magnaflow, Borla, or the TSP Rumbler.

Has there been very many dyno sheets to back up the statement of them being THAT much lower in power gains compared to other moderately price exhaust systems? I have my cutout in place for when I want to make more power and a lil more noise... but I think the car sounds pretty darn mean running through the Pacesetter LTs, ORY and Flowmaster catback
MPH difference in the 1/8th for me between capped and uncapped cutout is just over 2mph, seems about comparative to other exhausts in its price range.

well the price on the flowmaster systems and mufflers seems to be very resonable for the most part compared to some systems and other brands, i guess you get what you pay for, i think the flowmasters are what i'll buy eventually, but then theres the question of, do i just get a replacement muffler for my 98' LS1 or the whole flowmaster cat-back system? i'll look into areo and dynomax mufflers too, but i think dynomax only macks single out mufflers, i want duals, even if they are only from the muffler
