Are you asking, or telling??

Yes, 1st gear IS selectable with an LS1, A4, 2.73 gears. I guess it was blocked on LT1/A4/2.73 cars? Easily fixed though, AFAIK.

I was saying, Yeah, that's my question. Ok, I wasn't sure because I knew in LT1 F-Bodies 1st was only selectable on 3.23 gears. Also, I'm about to buy a '98 Z28 with 2.73 gears. What 1/4 mile times could I expect from this car?

You can easily make it shift into 1st. There's a little rubber block that stops the shifter from going all the way back, just cut it off. I did it on my last car...

Sweet, you'll love the LS1. As far as 1/4 times, I got 13.43 @ 106 with mine (A4/2.73's), some guys run higher 13's, and some have run near 13.00.....it all depends on whether you get one of the "factory freaks", as well as what the conditions are when you run.
