Hey guys i remember reading that later model f-bodies require filter breathers with a new air lid, now i cant find anything about that on the websites im looking at. So for my 01 ws6 do i need a filter breather im either gonna get a slp air box or G2.

My SLP lid came with a tube that conncected to the breather tube so a filter wasnt needed. Though I read that lid like TSP and MTI need a filter breather that can be had at AutoZone for about 5 bucks.

Like 02CamaroZ28 said - The K&N part no. is 62-1030 if you need one (or other brand the same size). Don't kink the air hose if you install a filter, you'll throw an SES light. IMO the smooth bellows looks nice, but not worth the $.

smooth bellows give about as much power gains as stickers...most for a cleaner engine bay
