Exclamation FAST 90mm TB ->$620!

Holy Crap! I didn't want to post this at LS1tech because I've never posted there before and didn't want to be seen as a flame bait post. I was looking through the new issue of High Perf. Pontiac and they have the prices for the new FAST TBs. 78mm is $580 and the 90mm is $620! Man, that is in-freaking-sane! I feel sorry for the suckers who already bought a 90mm FAST intake! Hopefully Lou G. or someone else will have a more reasonably priced 90mm on the market soon. I was hoping to get one to use on my single plane EFI project, I think I'll use a Mustang 90mm TB instead for around $300. Sheesh.

Don't count on it!

Lou already has a 90mm tb available to go with the 90mm intake, and it costs $795 + core charge($350 or give him your tb).

So that's about $1145 for a tb! then

Here's the link.

The funny thing is, the corvette guys are happy as **** with that. Plus, the corvette is drive by wire so maybe the cost will be less for F-bods. In truth, I understand to be the first few to have a product you are going to pay a premium. If you need it, you need it, and alot of big strokers need this. But C'mon! I think alot of the guys who ponied up the cash for the 90mm manifold didn't think in their wildest dreams it would be that much. I wonder how many will be selling their manifolds or sending them back for the 78mm piece? My thinking, of course, could be totally off base....but I doubt it

$600+ for a TB???

If I'm not completely mistaken, the stock TB is already good for a pretty good amount of additional hp over the stock numbers, isn't it?

What ever floats your boat, I guess...

Their primary customers will be the guys with the stroker motors. They already have $12,000 to $20,000 in their motors and another grand or two won't even slow them down.
