Does chevy program our cars differently depending on the type of package you get? I brought my car in today and they told me that this rumbling sound I was complaining about was a result of my tires being worn down about half way. He said new tires would fix the problem, but I had to get Z rated tires as a result of my computer settings. He also said that "if I lined up with another 2000 z28, who did not have the z rated tires, I would win because my computer was set different." Is this true or is it BS? Sorry this is so long. Thanks for the help.

You would win if you guys went up to the speed governed by the computer. Governors on cars with non Z rated tires kick in earlier then cars with Z rated tires because the Z's do not heat up as much vs. other tires.
