I'm not sure what you mean by exhaust test pipes. But as far as the cutout goes you can not bolt one in. It would need to be welded in the I-pipe somewhere between the cats and the muffler. Generally people have them installed as close to the engine as possible.

It is possible to bolt on a full catback and Y-pipe but not a cutout. BTW if you get a cutout spend the extra hundred and get one with an electric plate. It is so much nicer to flip a switch and go from quiet to loud (or vis versa) then to crawl under the car each time.

Good Luck

You can also call a test pipe a straight pipe or an offroad pipe. It's something I would bolt on right instead of the cats. I used to have one for my previous car.

Ahh ok. Yeah they generally refer to them here as ORY or Off Road Y-pipe. Yeah there are a lot of ORY pipes you can bolt on to replace the cats but you need to seperately buy a few 02 sensors to fool the computer into thinking your emmisions legal

Most LS1 owners here get LT headers with ORY and 02 sensors or High flow cats.

Is that a trick question? Nothing is easy about an exhaust system. If you have five bolts then one will always stick or strip (murphys law).

Are you gonna go with LT headers or stick with the stock setup?

If you get LT headers then you need to decide which ones you want first. Most of them make thier own Y-pipe designed to match thier headers perfectly. If you are gonna stay stock then look at the mac ORY for stock manifolds. You can find it here and yes they do bolt up but the 02 simms do NOT.

We carry the MAC offroad y-pipe,which will replace the existing cat y-pipe on 98-99 F-cars. $189.99

We also carry the Mufflex cat delete pipes, which replaces just the cats and retains the stock y-pipe for 00-02 cars. $239.99

There will need to be 02 simms installed to prevent an SES from the cats being deleted.

both items are in stock

call if you have any further questions
