I got pulled over the other day and was told that my Loudmouth is illegal in CT. I took it to inspection and failed. Therefore I need to get a new exhaust. I was looking at the Magnaflow but have not been able to find much on it. So I turned to trusty CamaroZ28.com for the answer. Help me out please!! Thanks in advance.

I just had the catback Magnaflow installed yesterday and it's EXCELLENT! I didn't want anything too loud and it's mellow. It has a nice idle sound and sounds great at around 3500 RPM. I'm in Jersey and got my inspection extended to 2005 but I'm pretty sure it will pass. The literature sez it's only a DB louder than stock. i got it out of Nebraska for $360. the muffler is $109. Catback installed here was $60.

 

I found the exhaust on Ebay for 330 shipped and can put it on myself but I was alittle worried because I couldn't find any descriptions about it. Sounds like it is a good exhaust. I just hope it's not to quiet, that is going to be a huge switch from the Loudmouth.

 

Why becasue they said it was too loud or something??

 

According to the new state law in CT you cannot have an exhaust on your car that does not have a muffler after the axle less than 12 inches from the back of the car. Man I hate CT!!
