Question Exhaust Preferences?

I am thinking of whick cat-back exhaust to go with when I buy one. So I am looking for info. on what peoples' preferences are. I want a great sound and more important the best horsepower increase. So far I am planning to go with GMMG or Borla, but have started to see things about Corsa, or simply the SLP. Any suggestions??

Talking

I guess it's in what you want to spend and the noise level you want. I have a Corsa and I love it. I took it to Carlisle, PA (7 hours away). It was great I could still have a conversation with my husband and no headache after. People that we went down with said it sounded loud as they passed by. We had walkie talkies. I suggest you go to some cruises and hear them for yourself. You will know what you like. Not much info but something to make you think about. Hope this helps.

Cool

Whats up? i have a slp load mouth on my car. Personally i love it. ive heard the borla, and its somewhat close with the cutout. you could get 2 slp exhausts for the price of the borla. or eve a set of mac headers. the slp is a lil bit loud, but thats what i like about it. i had a 5.0 pull up next to me on woodward ave. about 3 weeks ago and rev his crap. so i revved mine, and he immediately pulled over to the left and turned around. but whatever sound level you want. let it be known that ive never had any problems with the cops before. its not that loud.

Thumbs up

Well i currently installed the GMMG exhaust on my 2000 SS and I totally love it, yeah it is a little pricy but I like being a little different!! anyway this exhaust has a deep rumble with no rasping noises such as borla, but at highway speeds it quiets down so you can talk to the person beside you, anyway I give this system two thumbs up!!!!

Thumbs up

I had the American Thunder Flow Master Catback on my last Z28. I now have a Borla exhaust, and it is SOOOOOOOOOOO much better. The sound is awesome and the build and fit quality are far superior. It is pricy, but you get a lot of value in return.

If you want it on the louder side, GMMG is hands down the best available.

With my Whisper lid, Grotyohann Longtubes (with cats) and Corsa I picked up 45 HP. It sounds pretty good and I'm thoroughly pleased with it. I've got some audio clips on my website, but none of them do the sound any justice.

i would go with CORSA, i have it on my 2000 SS. it sounds great and it looks good with the dual 3in tips on each side. ive seen something thats been hinting that its the best out, but thats just my opinion.

Well, you are in luck...
When you buy a cat-back you are paying for sound and fancy tips. The power gain on all the cat-backs and mufflers is too close to call. The gains would literally be within the margin of error of any dyno.
Bottom line: Get the sound and tips you like, within your budget of course.
That was the facts.
Now my opinion... do the Dynomouth mod.
Sound/movie clip in my sig...

Cool

Although I have not bought them yet, I have already decided to go with Corsa, behind FLP LT Headers . Damn, that's gonna be sweet.
