Exclamation Exhaust Poll !!!

Still trying to decide on an exhaust. The only exhausts I've heard in person was a flowmaster on a 98 z28, and a Corsa thru a cutout on a 98 formula. I want the most muscular sound, deep rumble at idle, mean WOT. I still have my stock WS6 exhaust, and want something deeper, louder, more muscular. No raspy crap.

i like the magnaflow for it's performance, price and look.

i'll have it installed on my 99z tomorrow with a Bassani offroad ypipe. so after i listen to it without cats i may have a different oppinion...but i doubt it

Loudmouth. Name alone seems to fit the bill for what you're looking for.

Dynomouth is the way to go. Flows as well as loudmouth, no drone, no rasp (if you keep cats) and it is deep, loud and screams at WOT.

Plus it only costs $150.00 which leaves a lot of extra cash for other mods. Even if you want new tips you can find a nice set of stainless steel tips for $100 and that makes the Dynomouth with new tips $250 which is still an awesome price.

Good Luck.

GMMG, 4" Mufflex, or any true dual set-up hands down. Nothing else is as deep or muscular throughout the entire rpm range as those three set-ups on an LS1 F-body...

I'd highly recommend the GMMG if you want a high quality system that exits out the rear(loud refined muscle car tone with NO interior noise/drone).

Or duals if ya want max performance, but don't mind all the interior noise you'll get with them exiting under the car(they are very LOUD).

Mufflex has fitment problems and I'd just skip it all together and go duals if a good 3" cat-back system isn't enough for you(in terms of performance). The duals would easily outflow it even with that larger piping(but it does sound very good though).

I have 2 LS1's, the 98Z has the Borla and the 99SS has a Magnaflow. I admit I like the sound of the Borla much better with the 25% opening, loud, but not offensive, muscular, nice rumble, but the tips are somewhat lame. My wife drives the 99SS more that I do and she didn't want a offensively loud sound so I bought the Magnaflow. The 3 1/2" polished stainless pipes sticking out the a$$ end of the SS look great and the Magnaflow sound really comes alive at WOT.

By the way, I voted for the Borla. Good luck with your choice, whatever system you choose, I hope you like it.

I like my SLP loudmouth with SLP y-pipe i think it sounds really mean. Deep low rumble until you stomp on then it gets really loud. I reccomend it and it was only 558 total for both pieces.

You lack options in your polling answers.
Without Dynomouth as a choice, I cannot vote.
The DM will give everything you ask for... for about $150.
The others will give you some of what you want, but the mufflers don't flow as well as the 24222 bullet used in DM.
The LM flows as well, but is not as refined sounding.
The DM is pure muscle sound.
Good luck
Dave

Thats why i bought the SLP Y-pipe which gave the LM a much much deeper more refined sound. Just the LM by itself is sorta annoying.

The reason that I left some exhausts out is because I definitely don't want them.

I thought the dynomax option in the poll was for the dynomax bullet muffler I.E. Dynomouth. That's why I voted for it and recommended it in my response above.

I'll have to agree with ratio411 (who inspired me to get my dynomouth) that it's the best choice. It wins every catagory I can think of (sound, price, HP gains). You want this setup. You may not know you want it but if you heard it on my car you would want it.

Soundclips does this setup no justice. I heard a SC on the dynomouth and though it sounded good but not as good as Loudmouth. Then when I heard my Dynomouth for the first time I was like WOW that sounds way better up close and in person

A friend of mine got the loudmouth on his 99 Z28 and I knew I made the right decision. After hearing my car he decided to put the bullet muffler in place of his resinator to kill the drone he had at 2000 rpm's (made his ears bleed or so he said).

Good Luck with whatever you get.
