Exhaust installation & removal

I have a 1998 camaro ss with the m6. I ordered some new exhaust for my car. I have the loudmouth on it right now. I am going to be putting the slp 2 out the left exhaust on it. How hard is it to remove the loudmouth exhaust. I saw that it can be split where it goes over the axle. Do I need to split it there or can I just slip it over the axle. I am going to be doing this myself and was wondering how hard it will be to take it off. Also how hard is it to install the 2 out the left system? Any suggestions tips ?

Thanks

Yep, you will need to separate the pipe at the axle to get it over the rear end with-out dropping the rear end down. They have clamps on them and if they have been tightened enough to crush the pipes then it makes it tough to separate. You can heat them up real hot and wiggly them apart much eiser. A oxy/acet. torch is best but you can use a small propane bottle torch like you buy at Wal-Mart. Install will be no problem once you get the old pipe off. Good luck, let us know how you did.
